An anti-ADHD-tax beaver · pay once, obviously
Forgetting should be safe, not expensive.
Millpond listens to your inbox for trials, renewals and bills, remembers what you decided, and walks you through cancelling — at exactly the right moment.
No product exists yet. This page is the spec — if enough hands go up, it gets built. That's the deal.

The problem
The ADHD tax is real — and it's rude.
Executive dysfunction isn't carelessness — the subscription economy is optimized against your brain: 76% of 642 subscription sites use dark patterns (FTC). Reminders are homework. You need a dam.
Forgotten trials & renewals
−$144/yr
The 7-day trial, quietly in month 14.
Late fees & reminder letters
−$90/yr
The bill is still on the counter. Now it costs 30% more.
Missed return windows
−$85/yr
You meant to send it back. The box is now furniture.
Reimbursements never submitted
−$240/yr
Money that is legally yours, evaporating.
No-show & deadline fees
−$120/yr
The appointment your brain deleted overnight.
The loyalty tax
−$300/yr
Switching providers requires seventeen executive functions.
Amounts illustrative — your receipt may vary. It usually does.
The design principle
Make forgetting safe.
Trackers and reminder apps demand the exact executive function ADHD runs short on. Millpond inverts the defaults instead — when you forget (you will, everyone does), the safe thing happens anyway. Like a beaver: it never decides to plug the leak. It hears water running and it simply can't help itself.
1 · SEE
Your inbox already knows
Trials, renewals and bills announce themselves by email first. Millpond reads only the receipts you forward it — never your bank.
2 · TRIAGE
Automate the automatable
Fixed bills → autopay, once. Risky trials → frozen cards. Only genuine decisions ever reach you.
3 · DAM
Two-minute moments
What's left lands in your calendar, guided and shame-free. Then it gets out of your way.
The features — full spec
Everything the guardian does.
This page doubles as the product documentation — badges show which release each feature ships in.
Inbox Sentinel
v1 · first releaseIt hears the leak before it costs you.
One guided mail filter, set up once in 3 minutes. After that, every trial confirmation, renewal notice and invoice becomes a dated guard — automatically. No bank link, no data entry, delete anytime.
StreamMax

Your free trial has started! 🎉
Dam built — one minute later
Converts to $11.99/mo on Mar 21.
Intention Keeper
v1 · first releaseIt remembers what you decided, exactly when it matters.
Decisions evaporate — that's the ADHD failure point. Capture one in a single tap, and it resurfaces at the exact moment it's actionable. Not on a random Tuesday.

You decided this in January. Two minutes.
Cancel GPS
browser extensionTurn-by-turn navigation through cancellation mazes.
Companies hide the exit on purpose. Cancel GPS highlights the real buttons on the page and warns you about guilt-trip screens — you stay present and click, it navigates.

The Ice Dam
v1 · guided ritualForgetting becomes free.
The best protection isn't a better reminder — it's a better default. Millpond detects the signup moment and walks you through a 30-second ritual in the banking app you already have. The merchant has to fail, not your memory.
Works with what's already in your pocket:
Your bank issues the card — Millpond guides the moment. We never see your card number and never touch your money.
Create a virtual card — in your own banking app
Pay the trial with it
Freeze it. Ten seconds.

Calendar Colonization
Guards live in the calendar you already check — cancel link inside the event. No new app to remember.
Signup Speed Bump
At checkout: “that's $155.88/year, not $12.99.” One tap captures your intention — or starts a 24h cooling-off.
Bill Shield
Due dates pulled from emailed invoices, shame-free escalating reminders, and a one-time autopay ritual for fixed bills. Swiss QR-bills native. 🇨🇭
The Quarterly Reckoning
Four times a year, a five-minute keep/cancel swipe deck. Usually pays for the app on day one.
Ghost Detection
“You haven't opened FitnessPro in 6 weeks. Still your choice?” — via privacy-preserving Screen Time signals.
The Millpond
Every dodged charge raises the water behind the dam. Shame is a terrible motivator; watching your pond fill isn't.
How it works
Three steps. One of them is ours.
Millpond is designed around a hard rule: the setup is the only work you'll ever be asked to do.
01
Forward your receipts
One guided mail filter, ~3 minutes, any provider. Your only job, ever.
02
The beaver stands watch
No feed, no streaks, no daily app. Silence means you're protected.
03
Act in two-minute moments
Real decisions arrive in your calendar, sized to two minutes, link included.

The plan — in the open
From this page to your pocket.
Built by one indie dev who already ships ADHD tools (a routine app, a distraction blocker). The order won't change; the speed might.

Pricing philosophy
Pay once. Own it forever.
An anti-subscription tool that charges rent would be self-satire. Target: ~$25 once, early supporters less.
One payment to rule them all out.
Your first Quarterly Reckoning typically cancels more than the app costs.
No engagement tricks. Ever.
No streaks, no “we miss you” emails. A beaver that needs your attention has failed.
Major upgrades, honestly priced.
If a v2 someday costs money, v1 keeps working forever. The Things-app model.
The form below asks what Millpond would honestly be worth to you — that answer decides whether it gets built at all.
The only question that matters
Would you actually use this?
No launch date, no spam, no newsletter. You leave an email, and the only thing it will ever be used for is telling you if Millpond becomes real. That's the entire contract.
What would it be worth to you? (one honest answer — nothing is charged, ever)
This isn't a checkout and nothing is charged — it's how we decide whether Millpond deserves to exist. Your email is never shared, never sold, and deleted on request.
Questions, answered honestly
FAQ
Is this just another subscription tracker?
No. Trackers demand the exact executive function they claim to replace. A dam asks you to remember nothing — it just holds. Millpond holds your intentions and acts at the right moment; zero data entry is the founding rule.
Do you connect to my bank account?
Never. No credentials, nothing to breach. Your inbox already contains everything Millpond needs.
Where do the virtual cards come from?
Your own bank. Revolut and Wise already offer virtual cards, and most banking apps have a card lock — Millpond supplies the right moment and the steps. It never sees your card number or touches your money. (Trials only: leaving an active subscription is Cancel GPS's job.)
How does the email part actually work?
A guided mail filter (~3 min, any provider) forwards receipts to your guardian address. We parse those and nothing else — inspect or delete everything, anytime.
What about iPhone?
iOS lets no app watch other apps — anyone claiming otherwise is lying. Email-first works fully on iPhone; Safari extension and Screen Time cover the rest.
Will it cancel things automatically?
No — co-pilot, not autopilot. You click, it navigates. Bots acting alone on your money break and get blocked.
Why pay-once instead of a subscription?
Millpond succeeds when you can forget it exists — you can't rent out attention you're trying to give back. Also: monthly rent for an anti-subscription tool? No.
Who's building this?
An indie developer in Switzerland 🇨🇭 already shipping ADHD tools — a routine app and a distraction blocker — with a personal stake in every feature here.
When can I get it?
When enough hands are raised. The form above is the countdown — no artificial urgency.
Why "Millpond"?
Calm as a millpond: behind the dam, the water simply stops moving. That's your money once the leaks are plugged — and the beaver does the building, so you never have to remember to.
